The dining room and new Bravo Zulu Bar & Restaurant have a straight view of Lake Champlain that is simply stunning. White Adirondack chairs are plentiful and dot the landscape for your viewing pleasure. When the weather cooperates sailboats and other recreational watercraft dot the horizon with the featured Green Mountains of Vermont as the backdrop.
How perfect is that? Play shuffleboard, or tennis on the inn’s well-maintained courts. This is the ideal place to relax, enjoy the view of the lake or read a good book.
If you are a hiking enthusiast or biker there are many paths and trails including the Island Lake Bike Trail which is 14 miles long from South Hero to Burlington. Visit Vermont wineries and apple orchards. Try the locally made pies. Enjoy it there or take it home. Several farm stands dot Route 2 and outlying byways offer local fruit, produce, and baked goods. Shore Acres Inn is the perfect “home away from home” for your Champlain Island vacation.
General Manager, Jason Hanny, and his affable crew have an amazing eye for the little details that can make such a big difference in your enjoyment during your stay. They strive to make even the little things perfect. This is the ideal place for a family getaway, reunion, or wedding.
Pet lovers will appreciate that Shore Acres is completely pet friendly and welcomes dogs of any size.
SHORE ACRE INN DINING
Dining in the main dining room is a culinary delight. Start with a signature cocktail. Maple Manhattans and Smokey Maple Old Fashioneds are bourbon choices, have a gin smash, Yellowbird made with Rum, or try a Lemon Drop. A selection of reasonably priced wines is available by the glass or bottle. They also offer a nice selection of Mocktails for those who like a blend absent the alcohol. 
The Shore Acres Inn restaurant features a diverse selection of salads all are excellent. Freshly prepared and delicious. We tried most. I suggest the warm little gem or the beet Napoleon. Entrees are varied from Duck, Lamb, Beef, Vegetarian, Pasta dishes, Salmon, and more. They will always offer a selection, but the presentation may change. The side dishes you will rave about as well.

A bit of advice – save room for dessert, as these are the icing on the cake so to speak.
The house-made dessert offerings are sensational.
Not feeling quite as formal, visit the new Bravo Zulu. The newest addition to Shore Acres is a lakeside bar and casual restaurant. Brava Zulu features include specialty cocktails, traditional Pina Coladas, Strawberry Daiquiris, and Margaritas, and a large selection of draft beers, wine, and mocktails (nonalcoholic) drinks.
Bravo Zulu serves a bar-type menu with dips, sticks, small plates, tacos, and other shareable delectables. They even have water bowls for your four-legged friends. Like Shoreacres, Bravo Zulu welcomes dogs of all sizes.
I found Shore Acres Inn and Restaurant just a relaxed fun place to visit. The rooms were neat, clean, and spacious. You can take a walk, hike, kayak, play horseshoes or shuffleboard, take a drive, or a bike ride, swim, fish, or just take a nap. This is a beautiful venue for a lake wedding, anniversary party, or any outdoor gathering. A wonderful time was had by all.
